Product-specific support

“Tested” refers to internal development checks with the files and operations described below. It does not establish a production release or provider certification.

Public-file workflows tested

Sentinel-2 L2A

Earth Search / AWS and Planetary Computer public COG products. Discovery, supported source-file downloads, local display, inspection, and same-grid preparation are covered by development evidence.

Scope: Protected Copernicus SAFE access is separate. General reprojection and arbitrary multi-source mosaics remain pending.

Public-file workflows tested

Landsat 8/9 Collection 2 Level-2

Planetary Computer source bands, local B4/B3/B2 RGB display, raw DN and derived-reflectance inspection, and supported individual-band project processing.

Scope: Merged RGB GeoTIFF export, additional band combinations, and quality masks remain pending.

Public-file workflows tested

Copernicus DEM GLO-30 Public

Public elevation files, original Float32 values, local display, and supported clipping and same-grid mosaics. Horizontal grid: EPSG:4326; vertical reference: EGM2008.

Scope: A DSM including buildings and vegetation. Coverage depends on the public product. Different-spacing resampling, general reprojection, and terrain analysis remain pending.

Public-file workflows tested

NAIP aerial imagery

Published US coverage through Planetary Computer. Real four-channel files, local RGB display, RGB/NIR pixel inspection, and supported clipping and mosaics have been verified.

Scope: NAIP is US aerial imagery. Additional resolutions require separate full-file checks; NIR display and multispectral analysis remain pending.

Selected workflows tested

MODIS MOD09A1 / MYD09A1 v061

Planetary Computer converted COGs with local source-band display, RGB inspection, and persistent projects. Red-band processing has real-file output verification.

Scope: These are converted COGs rather than original NASA HDF packages. Other band processing, quality layers, derived RGB export, and reprojection need separate verification.

Account validation pending

Protected NASA and Copernicus products

Catalog discovery, provider account entry, and download adapters are being developed for products including HLS, SRTM, VIIRS, and Sentinel-2 SAFE.

Scope: Positive provider-account authorization and complete production-file verification remain pending. Synthetic-file checks do not establish production-data delivery.

Provider accounts and data rights

Some products need your own authorized provider account. A searchable catalog entry does not establish download permission. Product licenses, attribution, coverage, and access rules still apply when you use GeoD.

Scientific values and display

Display stretching changes how a raster is shown. Source digital numbers, product scale/offset-derived measurements, classification codes, and elevation values have different meanings. Check the exact product and its quality guidance before analysis.

Work with the tools you already use

GeoD focuses on discovering and preparing supported data in local projects. Continue analysis and cartography in QGIS, ArcGIS, or the scientific tools suitable for your task. Confirm output compatibility in your own workflow.
